    An Influencer or KOL (Key Opinion Leader) is someone with over 5,000+ genuine followers on a social media platform such as Instagram, Facebook, Weibo, WeChat, Little Red Book.

  • Who are the Brands on Orient?

    Orient is open to working with all brands, and those that represent them. This may include PR, Marketing, Media, Advertising, or Creative agencies.

  • Does using Orient fit within the advertising regulations?

    Yes. In Australia, US, UK, Europe and many other parts of the world, influencers are required to disclose a sponsored post. The easiest way to do so is to include #ad or #sponsored. For further guidance, see our T&C’s.

  • Who owns the content?

    The influencer owns the content. However, a brand can share the influencer’s post within the platform it appears in organically. If the brand would like to use it for advertising, then the brand should request a content licence.

  • What’s the approval process?

    Influencers create and submit a post with a price attached to a campaign brief. If the brand approves it, the influencer can publish it directly to their social media and be rewarded with payment. If the brand recommends changes to the content or price, they can suggest changes to the influencer. If the campaign has ended, the budget has been spent or influencer is not right for the campaign.   • How long is an influencer or KOL required to keep their post live on their platform?

    After 60 days an influencer may remove the post. Although most leave the post on their feed.

  • What are Orient House Rules?

    Orient’s House Rules can be found in our Terms & Conditions. These rules set the principles for all parties – brands and influencers to abide by.

  • What if an influencer or Brand breaches House Rules?

    House rules are very important for all parties to abide by. If there is a breach, then the party will be removed from the Orient platform immediately. Please notify us at hello@orienthq.com if you think a party has breached the guidelines.

  • How does Orient use my personal information?

    Orient uses your personal information to improve the user experience on our mobile app and web platform. You have the right to request to access, amend or some cases remove the information that Orient holds about you. These rights are outlined in our Private Policy.   • How do I use Orient app as a brand?

    Brands will be using the brand dashboard on our Orient website to create new campaigns. However, feel free to browse our live campaigns on our mobile app.

  • Is there a set up or subscription fee?

    There is absolutely ZERO fees for brands and agencies to set up. Orient is a complete risk free model. Only pay for the submissions you want to approve.

  • Is there a minimum spend?

    There is no minimum spend, however most brands allocate on average $3,000-$10,000 per campaign.

  • How do I measure the campaign’s success?

    You can track the campaign performance with real-time analytics. Campaign results on the brand dashboard will also display metrics such as media value, ROI, reach, engagement and CPE. Infographics about the influencers will also be shown, including engagement, reach, demographics, location and age range.

  • How do I choose the right influencers for my brand?

    When an influencer submits a post, click through to their profile to assess their tone of voice, engagement and brand fit.

  • Can we check an influencer’s social engagement before approving?

    Of course. You can browse the influencer’s social accounts to assess their engagement. Our dashboard also displays their average engagement alongside every submission.

  • Does Orient cut out PR, Marketing, Media, Advertising, Creative or Talent Agencies?

    Orient works closely with agencies of all sizes to help increase their ROI on Influencer Marketing.

  • How can I be sure that I’m not paying to reach fake followers/bots?

    It is best practise for the brand to look through the engagement of each influencer who makes offers. Accounts with fake followers are easy to spot from almost no interaction, or social profiles filled with spam. Once Orient identifies an influencer with fake followers, we’ll remove them from our platform.

  • When does the payment get charged to my credit card?

    Orient only charges the payment when you have approved an influencer’s content.

  • What if I’m unhappy with the final results?

    Results will vary depending on a number of factors. Please contact the Orient team at hello@orienthq.com .

  • What if the influencer publishes the incorrect post?

    It is very rare that this will happen. Please contact us at hello@orienthq.com and we’ll rectify this issue. You will not be charged for this post as it is not published as agreed.

  • When do I need to buy a content licence?

    You will need to buy it for any usage other than reposting it organically on the same social platform the post was published on.

  • How much does a content licence cost?

    The licence cost depends on if it is for both online and offline channel use, or just online usage only.

  • What resolution and size is the content in?

    Content resolution is dependent on the original source. It usually ranges from 200KB to 30 MB. The Orient team will work with you to ensure you receive the highest quality available.

  • Do I need to credit the influencer on licensed content?

    It is not mandatory to tag or credit the influencer, however it is a great way to increase credibility and engagement.

  • Why can’t I log into the Orient mobile app?

    Please log in using your Facebook account that’s linked to your Instagram business account. You will not be able to receive briefs if your Instagram account is not a business or creator account. Please note that Orient requires all of its influencers to have a business account, linked to a Facebook page.

  • Why is Orient requesting permission to post on my social account?

    Giving us permission is about giving the ability to post through our App, and know how we can pay you. You will be the only person who ever posts to your accounts.

  • How much should I charge?

    Please refer to the ballpark rate card here.

  • Does Orient work with Talent Agents?

    We absolutely do. Orient works with both Talent Agencies and Marketing Agencies very closely. You can manage all of your client’s Influencer Campaigns on our end-to-end service platform. Please get in contact at hello@orienthq.com

  • What happens if I’ve purchased the product but had my post declined?

    It is unfortunate, but purchasing a product without getting paid to recommend it is no different than any other purchases made by you outside of Orient.

  • Why are brands not accepting my submissions?

    Often brands likes to see a number of submissions before they accept any. You may also want to offer a lower rate as higher rates discourages brands to approve your post.

  • When do I get paid?

    You will get paid within the next 48 hours once your approved submission has been posted directly to your social media account.

  • Can I connect more than one account of the same social platform? For example, two Instagram accounts?

    Each Facebook page will be linked to one Instagram business account. This means that you cannot connect more than one account of the same social platform.

  • Once approved, how long do I have to post?

    You should post within 48 hours, or a certain day directed by the brand.

  • How do I get the brand’s products?

    Most of the brands listed on Orient won’t send you the product, this is because brands are looking for genuine advocates who are willing to purchase the product and recommend it to their audience. However, there are still a number of boutique or premium brands that send out their products to influencers & KOLs.

  • Are brands allowed to negotiate my asking price?

    Yes, only accept it if you feel comfortable.

  • How much will I earn selling ownership rights to my content?

    There is a set rate for how much you can earn by selling your content rights.

  • Where will the brand be using the content?

    The content can be used on wherever the licensee chooses.

  • Can I submit multiple content pieces from the same shoot?

    Of course! Feel free to submit as many content pieces as you like to increase your chances of success.

  • Can I sell similar content from the same shoot to someone else?

    If you’ve sold the rights to the content, and have another opportunity to sell content that appears similar, you’ll need to get approval from Orient first. Contact us at hello@orienthq.com

  • Will I be credited if the brand uses my content?

    Orient encourages the brand to credit you for best practice, however it not mandatory for the brand to do so as the rights of your content have been sold to the brand.

  • What are ‘Content Campaigns’

    Content Campaigns allow creators to submit curated branded photos or videos to your  content gallery. Once approved, you can use the content on your marketing channels.

  • Is there a setup fee?

    There is no set up fee for Content Campaigns.

  • Do I need to credit the influencer on licensed content?

    It is not mandatory to tag or credit the influencer, however it is a great way to increase credibility and engagement.

  • How much does a content licence cost?

    The licence cost depends on if it is for both online and offline channel use, or just online usage only.

  • What are ‘Event Campaigns’

    Event campaigns allow influencers & KOLs to generate buzz around your brand’s product events, launches, pop-up stores and getaways. You can create deeper relationships with influencers and get them to experience the brand through a special event. Influencers will create special event content and post about it with the brand specific tags and hashtags on their social media platform.

  • What’s the approval process for Content Campaigns?

    Once your event campaign is live on the Orient app, influencers can express interest to RSVP your brand event. You will approve the list of influencers you would like to have at your brand event, and these influencers will attend. The influencers will post on their social media platform post-event.

  • What are ‘Promo Code Campaigns’

    Promo code campaigns allows influencers & KOLs to share the promo codes with their communities to encourage site traffic and conversions of new costumers, while all being able to track which influencers are key to your sales growth.

  • Is there a setup fee?

    There is no set up fee for Promo Code Campaigns.

  • What’s the approval process for Promo Code Campaigns?

    This is very similar to the process of a standard Influencer Campaign. The only difference is that the influencer will post with the specific promo code in their caption and/or link in bio.
